Goose Gear Jeep Wrangler JKU 4-Door Rear Plate System

The Rear Plate System is the foundation of a JKU 4-door build — a flat, load-rated floor in industrial-grade plywood with Goose Gear's proprietary coating that replaces the rear cargo plastic and gives every drawer, seat-delete platform and camp-kitchen module a square, rattle-free base to bolt to. It weighs just under 33 pounds. On 2011–2018 Jeeps it bolts to factory points with no drilling; 2007–2010 rigs get threaded inserts drilled into the floor (Goose Gear supplies the inserts and the tool, since there are no factory anchor points that early). It's the part you buy first — nothing else in the JKU line installs without it.

Year and subwoofer fitment: 2007–2010 needs threaded inserts drilled into the floor (Goose Gear supplies the inserts and tool — no factory anchor points that early); 2011–2014 with a side-mounted subwoofer requires removing the sub and trim; 2015–2018 with a floor subwoofer needs the sub-compatible plate option.
Installation permanently removes the rear-cargo plastic trim; on 2011+ the exposed painted body shows once the trim is off.
Ursa Minor camper note: an IceBox-with-top-drawer and 19/22″ double drawers won't clear the rear-window gas struts; a plain IceBox, a CampKitchen, or a 15″ double drawer clears.
