The Explore Series Second-Row Seat Delete is the current, module-based sleep platform for the JKU — a raised deck that attaches to the back of an 8-inch drawer module, CampKitchen 2.31 or IceBox 1.31, with a substantial storage compartment underneath and access doors on the top and sides. Each system includes a pillow-extension sleeping platform that installs with a thumb screw and a strap around the front-seat headrest posts, and stows against the seat-delete leg when it's not in use — setup takes a couple of minutes. Order the 60% passenger side, the 40% driver side, or both to delete the full second row. It's industrial-grade plywood with Goose Gear's proprietary coating and bolts to factory points with no drilling.

Who it's for

A great fit if you want a raised, module-based sleep platform over your 8-inch drawers with real storage underneath and a headrest pillow extension. Look elsewhere if you already run the older V1 seat delete and just need to add the second side — that has to be the matching Legacy V1 Seat Delete, since the V2 won't mate to a V1.

Where this fits in your build

Will it fit your rig?

  • Fits the Jeep Wrangler JKU 4-door, 2007–2018.
  • Order 60% passenger, 40% driver, or both for a full 100% second-row delete.
  • Attaches to the rear of 8-inch drawer modules, CampKitchen 2.31 or IceBox 1.31 — requires the JKU Rear Plate System and those modules (not included).
  • Running only the 60% delete requires the 60% Seat Delete Bracket to support the retained 40% seat.
  • Bolt-in at factory points; no drilling.

Common questions

Do I need the rear plate and modules too? Yes — this platform attaches to the rear of 8-inch drawer modules, a CampKitchen 2.31 or an IceBox 1.31, all of which bolt to the JKU Rear Plate System. None are included.

What's the pillow extension? A short sleeping-platform extension that bridges to the front seats using a thumb screw and a strap around the headrest posts; it stows against the seat-delete leg when unused.

Can I delete just one side? Yes — order the 60% passenger or 40% driver side. If you delete only the 60% and keep the 40% seat, you also need the 60% Seat Delete Bracket to support that seat.

How much storage is under it? A substantial compartment, reachable through access doors on the top and both sides even with gear loaded on the deck.

Is this the newer design? Yes — this is the current Explore Series module-based version. The older V1 seat delete is a separate legacy product.

Complete your Wrangler build

This seat delete builds on the Rear Plate System and your drawer modules — pair it with a galley on the same plate:

Required first: JKU Rear Plate System + 8-inch drawer modules — the platform attaches to their rear. Keeping the 40% seat? Add the 60% Seat Delete Bracket.

Cooking & cold (universal, mounts on the plate): CampKitchen 2.31 · IceBox 1.31 · Solo Fridge Slide
