Deadman Off-Road Ground Anchors

Deadman Off-Road makes soft ground anchors that give you a winch point when there is nothing to hook to — no trees, no rocks, just dirt, sand, or snow. Bury the anchor, rig your line, and pull. The same anchor also wraps around a tree trunk or boulder, so one piece of gear covers two recovery jobs.

The lineup is small and focused: the Deadman V2, the heavier-duty RUGGEDIZED version, complete kits with soft shackles, and the Stretchy Band for rigging. Everything packs flat and weighs a fraction of a steel anchor. The trade-off is labor — burying an anchor deep enough to hold takes real digging, so keep a solid shovel in the rig.
