Goose Gear Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door Rear Plate System

The JK 2-Door Rear Plate System is the foundation of a 2-door Wrangler build — a flat, load-rated floor in industrial-grade plywood with Goose Gear's proprietary coating that replaces the rear cargo plastic and gives every module a square base to bolt to. It weighs only 42.5 pounds, and because the 2-door cargo bay runs deeper front-to-back it takes the longest modules Goose Gear makes: 36-inch single drawers and 28-inch double drawers, plus the universal IceBox and CampKitchen. Installation removes the second-row seats and the rear plastic trim; 2011–2018 bolts to factory points, while 2007–2010 gets threaded inserts drilled into the floor.

Do I need this before anything else? Yes — every drawer, seat delete, cubby and camp-kitchen module bolts to this plate.

What's the difference between the two versions? The subwoofer-compatible version suits 2015+ Jeeps with the sub in the floor; the access-door version is for Jeeps without a floor subwoofer. A door-side-mounted sub (2010–2014) must be removed either way.

Does it require drilling? Not on 2011–2018. 2007–2010 rigs need threaded inserts drilled into the floor; Goose Gear supplies the inserts and the tool.

Why can the 2-door take deeper drawers? The 2-door cargo bay is deeper front-to-back, so it fits the 36-inch single drawers and 28-inch double drawers the 4-door can't.

What happens to the trim? The rear-cargo plastic comes out permanently; on 2011+ the exposed painted body shows once it's off.
