Trash, firewood, muddy tools and dirty laundry all end up loose in the bed, and then they end up in the cab. The Truck Tailgate Trash and Storage Bag is the original: it straps over a full-size tailgate and gives you 18 x 25 x 6 inches of weatherproof storage on the outside of the truck, so wet garbage does not ride 200 miles behind your seat.
It is double-layered on purpose. The outer shell is heavy-duty vinyl for water and fade resistance, and an inner liner takes the abuse from whatever you throw in, which is why the bag does not fade or disintegrate the way a single-layer fabric bag does after a season of sun. Heavy-duty quick-release buckles let you pull the bag off the tailgate in one motion, and Version 2 adds a zippered top flap with a rain flap over the zip line plus one large lower pocket for spare liners and gloves.

What to know before you buy
This bag is not recommended for first-generation Tacomas; we make a separate tailgate trash bag sized for Tacoma trucks. Do not exceed 55 lb. Clean both the tailgate and the bag before installation, and check the contact area after off-road trips so trapped grit does not work against the paint.
