The Large Headrest Trash Bag is built around a 7.5-gallon swing-top kitchen bin, which is roughly a full week of camp trash for two people, and it hangs from a headrest so all of that stays upright and off the floor.

It hangs on dual quick-release buckles and an adjustable strap, so it lifts off in one motion when it is time to walk the bag to a dumpster instead of making you empty it in place. The body is hand-sewn from heavy-duty fabric and carries additional outer pockets for wipes, gloves, snacks and spare liners. Closure is your choice: a three-sided top zipper that drops the entire top open for lifting a full liner out cleanly, or a hard flip top that takes trash one-handed and closes itself so nothing escapes when the bag is jostled on a rough road.

What to know before you buy

The hard plastic bin shown in some of the photos is no longer included and is no longer offered as an option. The bag is sized for a 7.5-gallon swing-top kitchen bin, sold at any big-box store. This is a big bag at 18 inches tall, so check the space between your headrest and the rear seat before ordering; in a small SUV, the medium size is usually the better fit.
