The Skwok: Our Handmade Skillet Wok w/ Utility Bag

The Skwok is our handmade 17-inch carbon steel skillet wok, a skottle-style camp pan big enough to feed 6-10 hungry campers. Steaks, stir fry, breakfast for the whole river crew, soup: it does all of it on your LavaBox, a camp stove or your kitchen range.

Seasoning your Skwok (do this before the first cook)

1. Scrub with hot soapy water and dry completely.
2. Heat at medium and add 2/3 cup oil.
3. Add 1/4 cup kosher salt and the peels of two large russet potatoes.
4. Stir for 6 minutes, then discard and wipe the pan top and bottom.
5. Never use soap again. Clean with hot water and a scrubber.
