A traditional one-handed camp axe with a storied history. The Council Tool Hudson Bay Axe carries a 2 lb Hudson Bay-pattern head on an 18" curved hickory handle, a proven shape for light splitting, chopping, and driving tent pegs. The Hudson Bay pattern traces back to a trade tool used along the fur routes of the Hudson Bay and St. Lawrence River, and it still earns its keep in camp today.
