The REDARC BCDC Alpha100 R is a 12V, 100A DC-DC charger and battery management system built for serious dual-battery builds — large lithium banks, heavy-draw fridges, inverters, and long touring days where a 25A or 40A charger simply can't keep up. It pulls from the vehicle's alternator and an integrated solar input, then prioritizes the free solar to trim alternator load.
- 100A output — roughly 2.5x a standard 40A DC-DC charger, so large banks recover fast between drives.
- Dual input: alternator plus integrated solar MPPT, with solar given priority when it's available.
- App-connected setup and monitoring via the REDARC App for battery-chemistry profiles and live status.
Trade-off: 100A of charge current means heavier cabling and correct fusing — this is overkill for a small AGM setup, where a lower-amp DC-DC charger is the smarter fit. See more power gear in dual battery systems.
