The Midland MXT500 is the do-everything 50-watt GMRS radio for a trail rig — full power for real range, IP66 water resistance for open-cab weather, and a clean front-panel layout that's easy to run with gloves on. If you want maximum GMRS output without the palm-mic controls of the MXT575, this is the one.
- Three power levels — 50W high, 25W medium, 5W low — so you can reach across a valley or keep it local in a tight convoy.
- 15 GMRS channels + 8 split-tone repeater channels to work distant repeaters, plus NOAA weather scan for incoming conditions.
- IP66-rated against dust and water, with automatic noise cancelling for clear comms over engine and wind noise.
Worth knowing: like all high-power GMRS, 50W wants a solid ground plane and a quality antenna — the included magnetic mount is a great start, and a bull-bar antenna is the common upgrade. Pairs with our other two-way radios. Authorized Midland dealer; GMRS license required.
