The Land Rover Defender Rear Plate System flattens the rear cargo floor and removes the factory downslope, giving you a level surface to mount Goose Gear modules on. It sits even with the folded second-row seats, so it also creates a sleep-platform area without removing the seats.
Who it's for
A great fit if you have a 2020-present Land Rover Defender L663 (non-third-row) and want a flat cargo floor that fridge, stove and drawer modules mount to. Look elsewhere if you have a third-row Defender; the plate has only been test-fitted in non-third-row models so far.
Where this fits in your build
- System role: Foundation rear plate — the flat base your modules mount to.
- You need first: Nothing. This is the first part in the cargo build.
- Pairs with / completes the build: Add the CampKitchen 2.3, IceBox 1.3 or IceBox 1.3 with Top Drawer on top, and finish with a universal Strap Kit.
Will it fit your rig?
- Fits the 2020-present Land Rover Defender L663.
- Flattens the rear floor and removes the rearward downslope so fridge slides, CampKitchens and IceBox modules sit level.
- Sits even with the second-row seats when folded, for a sleep-platform area without removing the seats.
- Module layout: one 19-3/16" wide module plus a second 16-3/16" wide module; the CampKitchen 2.3, IceBox 1.3 and IceBox 1.3 with Top Drawer all fit, as does a single or double drawer up to 28" deep.
- Access hatches reach the storage below the factory carpet and the recovery point, factory tools and jack.
- Bolt-in to the factory anchor points with no modification; the underside has aluminum extrusion support bars for strength.
- Currently test-fitted in non-third-row Defenders only.
