The Front Runner Dometic Expedition Rail Kit adds low-profile side rails to a 4-to-7 slat Front Runner Slimline II Roof Rack, turning it into an expedition-style tray with raised edges. The open front and back let you carry longer loads like a kayak, canoe, surfboard or lumber, or mount edge accessories such as a jerry can holder.
It bolts on in minutes with no drilling and shares the same durable, weather-resistant powder coat as the rack itself. The modular design lets you remove rail sections whenever you need to, for example to fold a rooftop tent open over the side. This kit fits 7-slat racks directly; on 4-to-6 slat racks some trimming of the rail tubing may be needed.
