Old Man Emu's BP-51 is bypass shock technology built for serious touring and off-road driving. This is the front, right-hand coilover — a monotube unit with position-sensitive internal bypass and external adjusters, so you can tune compression and rebound on the car to suit an empty daily commute or a fully loaded remote trip.
It runs application-specific X5K-grade steel coils and is engineered, tested and built in-house by Old Man Emu, backed by a 3-year warranty. The trade-off is that BP-51 is a premium, tune-it-yourself system — you get real adjustability, but it rewards a proper corner-weight and alignment setup. Sold as a single coilover; most builds need the matching left-hand unit and rear shocks.
