A proper dual-battery setup used to mean either a dumb ACR relay that just parallels batteries or a RedArc BCDC that demanded pro-level install skills. This 5th Gen 4Runner kit is built around the RedArc BCDC Alpha 50A to make real DC-DC charging genuinely DIY. It's a drop-in system for a second battery of your choosing — you still handle the install and supply the battery.
