The 5000mAh is NESTOUT's everyday battery — 4.9 oz and 5.3 x 1.4 inches, small enough to live in a jacket pocket or day-hike kit. Capacity is honest for the size: one full phone recharge, about three headlamp recharges. If you need to run a fridge or charge a laptop, look at the bigger packs; this one is for keeping a phone, camera or GPS alive through a long day out.

Construction is the same military-grade recipe as the larger NESTOUT batteries — waterproof, dustproof, hard shell over a shock-absorbent cushion — and it recharges in about 2 hours through USB-C. One USB-C and one USB-A port cover most gear, and it's rated for roughly 1,000 charge cycles.
