The Sherpa 3rd Gen 4Runner Load Bar System is a low-profile, two-bar setup designed specifically for the 1996–2002 3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner. It mounts directly to your factory roof tracks and replaces the stock crossbars with a stronger, cleaner, and more useful platform — no reusing factory hardware.
Each system ships with Sherpa roof-track anchor plates for a secure, straightforward install. Every extrusion crossbar has six ¼" slots, so you can bolt on nearly any accessory using Sherpa drop-in T-nuts. Whether you are running a roof box, ski rack, or recovery gear, the bars give you a sturdy base that is ready for the trip.
Fitment: 1996–2002 Toyota 4Runner (3rd Gen). Mounts to factory roof tracks; anchor plates included.
