The quickest way to go from “I own some recovery gear” to “I have a kit that actually works together.” We built this around 3/4- to 1-ton diesels and large SUVs — the heavy trucks that need a rope rated to match, not the light-duty set.
Everything here is sized around the 1" Rattler kinetic recovery rope: 33,500 lb minimum breaking strength and roughly 30% stretch, with shackles chosen to be stronger than the rope so the rope stays the working part of the system.

Size to the recovery vehicle
Match the rope to the truck doing the pulling, not the one that is stuck. The 1" Rattler is built for 7,200–10,249 lb recovery vehicles — loaded 3/4- and 1-ton diesels, heavy-duty pickups and full-size SUVs. If your rig is lighter or heavier than that window, build a kit around the correct rope instead.

Use it safely
Recovery loads are enormous. Inspect every component before use, keep pulls as straight as possible, attach only to rated recovery points, place a dampener over the rope, and keep bystanders well outside the danger zone. Retire any rope or shackle showing cuts, heavy abrasion or glazing.
