The transmission and transfer case hang low on the FJ Cruiser, right where trail obstacles want to hit them. This transmission skid plate bolts underneath and takes the impact, so a bad line over rock or a hidden stump does not end your day.
Fitment: Toyota FJ Cruiser. The Cali Raised front skid plate is required for installation, and the skid will NOT work with KDSS-equipped models.
Choose 3/16-inch American steel for maximum strength or 1/4-inch aluminum to save weight without giving up much protection. Either way it installs 100% bolt-on with a mix of factory and grade 8 hardware, no cutting required.
