The REDARC Smart Start SBI12 is a voltage-sensing battery isolator for 12V dual-battery builds. It connects your auxiliary battery to the alternator only when the vehicle is charging, then isolates it so a flat second battery can never leave you unable to start the vehicle. The Load Disconnect (BLD) version adds a low-voltage cutout that sheds the auxiliary load before deep discharge damages the battery.
