The REDARC SBI212D Smart Start is a dual sensing 12V battery isolator that connects your auxiliary battery to the vehicle's charging system only when it detects a charge from either the alternator or a secondary source. It is built for dual-battery touring and overland builds where you run a fridge, lights, or accessories off a second battery without risking the ability to start the vehicle.
- Dual sensing operation reads voltage from both the primary and auxiliary side, so it works with modern variable-voltage and smart alternators.
- Automatic connect and disconnect based on voltage thresholds, with no manual switching required.
- Rated for high 200A surge loads, suited to heavy accessory draws and winching setups.
