The Freedom Coast HOVR Bike Rack is a wheel-clamp rack that locks into L-track, Freedom Track or Smartfloor and holds a bike upright by the front wheel. It suits vans and truck beds where you want to roll a bike in and close the doors.

This is the second-generation rack, which Freedom Coast says is 30 percent stiffer than the first. It mounts on track running either front-to-back or side-to-side, installs and comes off without tools, and takes wheels from 20 to 29 inches with tires up to 3 inches wide. Freedom Coast machines it in its own Southern California shop from U.S.-sourced material.

The one decision to make is release side. Choose left or right based on which side you can reach when the rack is against a wall or other gear; Freedom Coast offers a way to switch later. More in the Freedom Coast collection and vehicle kit.
