Green Pin Bow Shackle SC
Choose options
A soft shackle is lighter and safer around people, but steel still earns its place: it shrugs off abrasion that would chew synthetic fiber, and it is the more affordable option. When you want a hard shackle, Green Pin is the one we trust.
Green Pin shackles are rigging-grade hardware, superior alloy steel, zinc-coated for rust resistance, trusted in oil-and-gas rigging and used in the test environments built to break lesser gear. These carry real, certified working load limits.
Size and working load
Match the shackle to the diameter of the rope you run:
| Rope size | Green Pin bow shackle size | Working load limit |
|---|---|---|
| 1/2" | 1/2" | 2 ton |
| 5/8" | 1/2" | 2 ton |
| 3/4" | 3/4" | 4.75 ton |
| 7/8" | 3/4" | 4.75 ton |
| 1" | 7/8" | 6.5 ton |
| 1-1/4" | 1-1/4" | 12 ton |
| 1-1/2" | 1-1/4" | 12 ton |
| 2" | 1-1/2" | 17 ton |
| 2-1/2" | 1-1/2" | 17 ton |
Sizing
Size to the recovery vehicle's rope, not the stuck rig. Pair the shackle with the rope you run on the vehicle doing the pulling.
Safety note: rig to rated recovery points only, keep the pin fully threaded, lay a dampener over the line, and keep bystanders clear during a pull.
