Duffel Bag - 11 x 9 x 8 in

This started life as a propane bottle pouch — it was cut to hold a stack of 1 lb green bottles upright and keep them from rolling around the cargo area. It turns out that an 11 x 9 x 8 in box with a wide mouth and honest walls is useful for a great deal more than propane, so it now stands on its own as a small general-purpose duffel.

Hand-sewn from heavy-duty 1000D Cordura. The 8 in height and near-square footprint mean it stands up on its own and stacks against its neighbours in a drawer or a cargo box rather than slumping. A velcro ID panel on the outside takes a custom tag, which is the difference between a shelf of identical bags and an actual system — label it stove, propane, cables, dog kit, whatever it ends up holding.
