Deluxe Recovery Gear Bag

Recovery gear is the filthiest kit in the vehicle. A used kinetic rope is wet, gritty and twice its packed weight; shackles and a snatch block are dense lumps of steel; gloves come back caked. None of it belongs loose in the cabin, and none of it belongs in a bag that was designed for clothes. The Deluxe Recovery Gear Bag is built to swallow a full kit — straps, shackles, pulleys, kinetic rope, gloves, ground mats — and keep the mess isolated from everything else you packed.

It is hand-sewn from heavy-duty fabric with a reinforced base panel, because a bag full of steel gets dragged over rock, gravel and tailgate edges and the bottom is what fails first. The oversized main compartment takes the bulk items; a zippered top stash pocket, zippered side storage and dual end slip pockets keep the small, fast-access things — gloves, a tree saver, a shackle — out of the pile at the bottom. At 22 in long x 16 in wide x 8 in tall it will hold up to six of our Gear Pouches if you want the interior subdivided rather than loose. A velcro patch zone on the outside takes a custom ID tag, so the recovery bag is identifiable at arm's length in a packed cargo area.

What to know before you buy

This is the bag only. The recovery gear and the pouches are sold separately. Loaded with steel it gets heavy fast — that is the argument for the reinforced base, but it is also worth knowing before you plan to carry it one-handed.
