The Ceara Hammock Stand gives a hammock somewhere to hang when the campsite, beach or backyard has no trees in the right place. It is a powder-coated steel frame with a telescoping center bar, two angled arms and a hook at the top of each.
The center bar pins at different lengths, so the stand runs from 124 to 149 inches long and fits a wide range of hammocks. Byer says it works with every hammock in its Amazonas line except the Gigante, and it is the stand Byer recommends for the Barbados Hammock. It stands 54 inches high with a 42-inch footprint, carries up to 440 lb, and goes together with the wrench in the box.
It is not a packable stand. At 44 lb and more than ten feet long, it belongs at a base camp you drive to or a spot that stays put for the season. See the rest of the Byer of Maine range.
