Sterling Power
Sterling Power BB2413 – 12V/24V to 24V DC-DC Battery Charger
Choose options
The Sterling Power BB2413 is a cross-voltage battery-to-battery (DC-DC) charger that takes a 12V or 24V input and delivers a controlled charge to a 24V auxiliary bank at up to 13A. It's the compact option for 24V house systems in campers, expedition vehicles, and marine builds charged from a standard 12V or 24V vehicle electrical system.
Unlike a simple voltage-sensitive relay, the Saturn charger measures both current and voltage and moves intelligently through bulk, absorption, and float, so your batteries get a correct, complete charge on every drive. Six preset profiles (Lead, AGM, and Lithium — two of each) plus custom profiles via the optional BBR remote suit virtually any chemistry.

Key Features
- Charges a 24V bank from a 12V or 24V vehicle system — up to 13A
- Six battery profiles plus custom charge profiles via the optional BBR remote
- Lithium-safe: a live output wakes most BMS units; charging is disabled below 0°C when the temp sensor is fitted
- Included TEMP1 temperature sensor for lead/AGM voltage compensation
- Self-recovering protections and conformal-coated internals; CE/UKCA/E-Marked approved; 5-year warranty
- Reverse charging engages at roughly 1/3 of rated current once output exceeds approximately 13.2V
- Jump-start assist mode provides a 20-minute forced reverse-charge window for emergency starts
- Multiple units can be run in parallel for redundancy or additional power capacity
- Optional BBR remote control offers adjustable current limiting at 100%/85%/65% plus live voltage/current readout
Smart Alternator / Euro-6 Ready
Three engagement modes cover any vehicle: automatic voltage sense, ignition-feed control (for smart / Euro-6 alternators), and vibration sense (begins charging after detecting engine vibration — no ignition wire required).
Installation Notes
Requires a common, direct negative between the input battery, charger, and 24V output bank. The positive input must come from a circuit with a starter battery or Alternator Linearisation Device — not straight off a bare alternator. Rate the charger to no more than ~80% of your alternator's output, and fuse both input and output. Contact us for the exact cable and fuse sizes from the datasheet.
