The Barbados is a Brazilian-style woven hammock, handcrafted in Brazil and Byer of Maine's best seller. Brazilian hammocks have no spreader bars, so the wide bed wraps around you, and you can lie diagonally and nearly flat.

It is woven from a recycled cotton and polyester blend that Byer says is made from 100% recycled materials. The hammock is 134 inches end to end with an 89 by 58 inch bed, rated to 330 lb, and sized for one person with room to sprawl or two who do not mind being close. At 3.5 lb it packs into a matching drawstring bag. Colors are BlueSky, Acerola, Rainbow, Sorbet, Sunset and Mocha.

Hanging points need to sit about 11 to 12 feet apart. If there are no trees at camp, the Ceara Hammock Stand is sold separately and fits it. Hand-tied hammocks can vary slightly in size. More from Byer of Maine.
