ARB Old Man Emu BP-51 Bypass Shock Absorber — Rear, 1990–1997 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series & Lexus LX450
Choose options
The Old Man Emu BP-51 is ARB's flagship bypass shock, built for loaded touring rigs that still need composed control on corrugations and rock. This is the standard-length rear unit for the 80 Series Land Cruiser platform.
Rather than a single fixed damping rate, the BP-51 uses position-sensitive bypass valving so damping builds through the stroke, and both rebound and compression adjust on-car by hand — tune it to your load and the terrain.
- Position-sensitive bypass damping
- Externally adjustable rebound & compression
- Monotube, hard-anodised bore for heat control
- Standard rear length (see the "long" variant for taller lifts)
Trade-off: premium pricing, and it is engineered to run as part of a complete OME BP-51 system rather than mixed with other components.
