Old Man Emu brings race-bred damping to everyday overlanding. The BP-51 (Bypass, 51mm bore) is a big-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock with a remote reservoir, engineered and tested in Australia to bolt on without vehicle modifications. It blends genuine around-town comfort with the end-zone damping that keeps a heavy 80 Series composed when the trail gets fast and rough.
Damping is on-car adjustable across a wide range of rebound and compression, so you can tune the ride to your load and conditions. The body, reservoir, and components are 6061-T6 aluminum, Type 3 hard anodized (40 micron) for heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and stone-chip protection. Every BP-51 is designed, tested, and manufactured in-house by ARB's Old Man Emu engineers. This is the long-length front shock — confirm it matches your lift height and spring setup before ordering.
