The largest fuel pack RotoPax makes. Four gallons on the outside of the rig, in a footprint designed to be stacked and mounted rather than rattling around in the bed.

The only roto-molded fuel container CARB will certify
Plenty of gas cans carry a CARB certificate. RotoPax is the only rotationally moulded one — every other certified container is blow- or injection-moulded, a cheaper process with a thinner wall. RotoPax meets CARB's permeability limit through a patented three-layer process with a formulated barrier material built into the wall.
The white tube in the neck is the Flame Mitigation Device — legally required, prevents flame jetting. Removing it voids the warranty.
Mounting
The 4-gallon shares its footprint with the RototraX traction boards and with two interlocked GEN 1 2-gallon cans — so a single mounting location can carry fuel, water and recovery boards in one stack.
Beyond the Standard, DLX and LOX Pack Mounts, dozens of manufacturers build brackets to the RotoPax pattern — including our Heavy-Duty RotoPax Spare Tire Mount, plus Front Runner, Eezi-Awn, Leitner, Axia Alloys, Xtrusion, TrailRax and RockSlide.
Venting — read this before your first trip
Vent at least once a day, and again for every 10°F of temperature change or every 1,000 ft of elevation gain. Failing to vent will deform the container and voids the fuel-container warranty. Store it completely full or completely empty.
