Mountain Hatch's Tailgate Table for the 2022+ Nissan Frontier fits the redesigned third-generation Frontier with a 1/2-inch food-grade HDPE panel that replaces the factory tailgate insert. Two drink holders and a recessed utility tray are built into the flat surface.
Factory screws out, OEM panel off, Mountain Hatch in; no drilling. The UV-stabilized surface is food-safe and tough enough to double as a tailgate protector. Every panel is cut on CNC machinery and then finished by hand in Riverside, California, and built to order, so plan on some production time before it leaves the shop.
What it is not: a rigid reinforcement for the tailgate, or a scratch-proof surface. Like any plastic cutting board it will show knife marks over time, and wet HDPE is slick, so keep an eye on a beer parked on a sloped campsite. The extra weight also means the factory damper lets the gate open a bit quicker than stock; Mountain Hatch says it will not slam, and that matches what owners report.
