Mountain Hatch Tailgate Cutting Board & Table for 2005-2014 Ford F-150
Choose options
Mountain Hatch's Tailgate Table for the 2005-2014 Ford F-150 replaces the ribbed factory tailgate panel on eleventh- and twelfth-generation trucks with a flat, 1/2-inch food-grade HDPE surface. Two drink holders and a 1/4-inch-deep utility tray are molded in, so the gate becomes a usable kitchen counter, not just a bench.
Installation is a panel swap: remove the factory screws and OEM panel, set the Mountain Hatch in its place and reinstall with the appropriate hardware. No drilling, no trimming. The surface is food-safe and UV-stabilized, and it protects the tailgate when a dirt bike or a load of lumber goes in. Every panel is cut on CNC machinery and then finished by hand in Riverside, California, and built to order, so plan on some production time before it leaves the shop.
What it is not: a rigid reinforcement for the tailgate, or a scratch-proof surface. Like any plastic cutting board it will show knife marks over time, and wet HDPE is slick, so keep an eye on a beer parked on a sloped campsite. The extra weight also means the factory damper lets the gate open a bit quicker than stock; Mountain Hatch says it will not slam, and that matches what owners report.
