Mountain Hatch Tailgate Cutting Board & Table for 2002-2018 Ram 1500
Choose options
Mountain Hatch's Tailgate Table for the 2002-2018 Ram 1500 covers the third- and fourth-generation half-ton Ram, including the trucks later sold as the Ram 1500 Classic, with a 1/2-inch food-grade HDPE panel. Two drink holders and a recessed utility tray are molded into the flat, food-safe surface.
Remove the factory screws and tailgate panel, install the Mountain Hatch and reinstall with the appropriate hardware; nothing is drilled. The UV-stabilized panel also protects the tailgate from gear and bikes. Every panel is cut on CNC machinery and then finished by hand in Riverside, California, and built to order, so plan on some production time before it leaves the shop.
What it is not: a rigid reinforcement for the tailgate, or a scratch-proof surface. Like any plastic cutting board it will show knife marks over time, and wet HDPE is slick, so keep an eye on a beer parked on a sloped campsite. The extra weight also means the factory damper lets the gate open a bit quicker than stock; Mountain Hatch says it will not slam, and that matches what owners report.
