The Rear Plate System is where every Goose Gear 4Runner build begins — the flat, CNC-cut foundation that your drawers, seat deletes, fridge slide and modules all bolt to. It replaces the flimsy factory slide and carpet with a clean, load-rated surface machined specifically for the 5th-gen 4Runner, so the rest of the system drops on with hand tools and lines up the first time. Cut from Baltic birch and finished in bed-liner, it's made in the USA and shrugs off wet gear, dogs and grit. Most owners have it installed in an afternoon, and because it mounts to the factory threaded inserts, there's no cutting or drilling of your truck.

A great fit if you're starting a Goose Gear build and want the correct base for your 4Runner's exact interior. Look elsewhere if you already run a Goose Gear plate — your existing modules will mount to it as-is.

Will it fit your rig?
Pick the version that matches your interior: (1) no 3rd-row seat and no factory slide-out tray (Standard); (2) no 3rd row, with the factory slide-out tray; (3) with 3rd-row seat. The 3rd-row version needs minor trimming of the two rear side infill panels. Fits the 5th-gen 4Runner, 2010–2024 (not the 2025+ 6th gen).

Will it cut or drill my 4Runner? No. It uses the factory threaded inserts. You remove the rear carpet, foam and some trim, but nothing is cut or drilled.
Which version do I choose? Match your interior: no 3rd row and no factory slide tray (Standard), no 3rd row with the slide tray, or with the 3rd-row seat.
How much room does it take up? It sits low and flat on the cargo floor and weighs under 35 lb, so you keep your cargo height and payload.
