The Eezi-Awn K9 Roof Rack is a modern take on the expedition platform: thinner, lighter, quieter, and more aerodynamic than the cage racks it replaces, and strong enough to carry a rooftop tent, awning, and a full load of gear. This kit is cut specifically for the classic Toyota Land Cruiser 60 Series and mounts to the rain gutters with no drilling. This is the gutter-mount rack pioneered by Expedition 7 — the first roof rack system to visit all seven continents.
Key Features
- No-drill gutter mount: Proprietary gutter-mount legs sit in the vehicle's rain gutter with a full-width clamp under the gutter lip — no holes in the roof.
- Five lengths: Offered in a 1400mm (55") width and five lengths. The 2.2M (87") is the most popular and maximizes roof capacity, running from just behind the windshield to just in front of the rear hatch; the 1.6M (62") preserves use of the sunroof.
- Gutter-mount height: The standard rack measures 7-3/8" high, from the top of the gutter above the second-row doors. A taller foot is available for extra under-platform clearance.
- Serious capacity: On a suitably suspended vehicle, dynamic loads around 500 lb (tent, awning, fuel cans, storage case, recovery gear, and more) and static loads up to 1000 lb are achievable. These figures are not warrantied and your capacity will vary.
- Accessory ecosystem: Bolt-on jerry can holders, axe and shovel mounts, Hi-Lift and MaxTrax mounts, awning mounts, and under-rack table mounts attach directly to the platform.
- Thule & Yakima compatible: Store-accessible 6mm hardware attaches existing Thule or Yakima sport-bar mounts (Thule Podium Foot Pack 460 with Fit Kit KIT3101; Yakima Skyline Tower with Landing Pad 4) to the K9 perimeter for bikes, kayaks, and more.
