Toyota 4Runner Roof Rack (1996-2002) | Sherpa Matterhorn
Choose options
The Sherpa Matterhorn is the full-length roof rack that started the whole lineup, rebuilt for the 1996–2002 3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner. It clamps to your factory roof tracks with zero drilling, so you can carry a rooftop tent, recovery boards, and expedition cargo to the most remote corners of the map without modifying your rig. The ¼" aircraft-grade aluminum side panels and stainless steel hardware make it one of the most durable racks you can bolt to a 3rd Gen.
Mount gear two ways: bolt accessories into any of the nine extruded crossbars, or strap directly to the solid side plates. Choose Half Height for a single-row light bar setup, or Full Height for maximum side-panel coverage.
Fitment: 1996–2002 Toyota 4Runner (3rd Gen). Also fits 1990–1995 2nd Gen 4Runner if factory roof tracks are installed. Requires 8 roof-track anchor plates for installation — if your tracks are missing them, they are available separately.
