The Sterling Power BB4812 is a 48V-to-12V DC-DC converter charger. It steps a 48V supply down to a controlled 12V output, letting you run and charge a 12V system from a 48V bank — useful as 48V house architectures become more common in larger camper, marine, and off-grid builds.
Rather than a crude fixed converter, it delivers a controlled multi-stage charge, so a 12V battery on the output is charged correctly and held at the right float.
