Grease the snatch block before first use
The 12-ton block ships ungreased. Grease the sheave before you load it.
Kinetic or static — or both?
They do different jobs and they are not interchangeable. The kinetic rope stretches and rebounds, for yanking a genuinely stuck vehicle free. The flat strap does not stretch, and is for flat tows and extending a winch line — never for snatching. If you can only pick one, pick the job you're most likely to face. If you can afford both, take both.
