The Sterling Power PCU1220plus is a compact, marine-grade AC battery charger built for 12V systems requiring reliable, intelligent shore power charging across up to three battery banks simultaneously. At 20A output, it's well matched to smaller vessels, RVs, and off-grid setups where a moderate charge rate is needed without the footprint or power draw of a larger unit.

The Pro Charge Ultra Plus is Sterling's second-generation ProCharge platform — refined over years of marine use and recognized by Sailing Today Magazine as the most flexible marine charger on the market. It runs on any global AC power source between 80–270V, making it equally at home on North American shore power, European marinas, or a generator output. Power Factor Correction (PFC) technology reduces input current draw, generates less heat, and minimizes electrical noise compared to conventional charger designs.

Charging intelligence is a full 4-stage profile — bulk, absorption, float, and equalization — with six preset battery type profiles plus two fully user-customizable profiles for custom absorption voltage, float voltage, and absorption time. Lithium charging profiles are included and fully programmable, accommodating the evolving landscape of LiFePO4 battery specifications. A battery temperature sensor is included and automatically compensates charge voltage based on battery temperature for lead acid chemistries, and provides a high-temperature protection trip for lithium.

The PCU1220plus is conformal coated for salt air and high humidity, conforms to the ABYC drip test when mounted correctly, and uses non-ferrous metals throughout — built to survive the marine environment long-term. Optional remote control (PCUR) available separately.
