The Pangean Campaign Roll Top Table is Byer of Maine's full-size camp dining table, a slatted top that rolls up like a mat and a folding X-frame that sets up under it. Byer redesigned it to seat four adults, so it works as the main table at a base camp or the one that lives on the deck between trips.
The frame and slats are Eucalyptus Grandis hardwood, made for Byer by a partner workshop in the central highlands of Vietnam and dipped in a penetrating oil finish to shed moisture. The top rolls into a bundle for the included carry bag. Pull up a Pangean Campaign Chair and the set matches.
The trade-off with oiled hardwood is upkeep. Byer recommends renewing the finish every season, and once a year is what it suggests for Maine weather. At 27 lb it is a vehicle-camping table, not one to carry far. More camp tables.
