MOLLE Tool Pouch - Tool Storage Bag

Tools loose in a cargo area are noise: a wrench and a socket rail in the same bin will find each other on the first washboard section and keep talking about it for the next hour. The MOLLE Tool Pouch is 11.5 in long, 5.5 in tall and 3.5 in wide — long and narrow, cut to the shape of the tools you actually reach for — and it mounts to the vehicle instead of sliding around in it.

The body is water-resistant Cordura, which keeps road spray and dust off steel that would rather not be rusting. A heavy-duty zipper runs the pouch so nothing works its way out upside down. The back is MOLLE webbing: it weaves onto any PALS grid — a cargo panel, a seat back, a rack — and that matters more for a tool pouch than for anything else you would hang on a panel, because a loaded tool pouch is heavy. A clip lets that weight swing and eventually shakes itself off; woven MOLLE straps hold it flat and still. The pouch also drops straight into our tool bags, so the same pouch works mounted on a panel or nested inside a bag. A velcro loop on the face takes an ID tag.

What to know before you buy

This is an open compartment, not a fitted roll — tools sit together rather than in individual loops, so pack it full enough that nothing shifts, or use a tool roll if you want each tool held separately. MOLLE backing also needs PALS webbing rows to weave onto; it will not attach to a plain velcro panel.
