Modular Velcro Poplar Pocket
Choose options
Long, skinny things have nowhere to go. A flashlight, a fixed-blade knife, a water bottle, tent stakes, a folding saw, a hand pump — all of them either lie across the floor of a bag or stand upright in a pocket that is far too short for them. The Modular Velcro Poplar Pocket is 4 x 4 in and 16 in tall: a tube that holds a long item vertical so it stops rolling around and starts being findable.
This is part of the Modular Velcro system. Hook velcro strips on the back press the pocket onto any loop-velcro surface — the Modular Velcro Seat Organizer panel, the carpeted wall or ceiling of an off-grid trailer or camper, a van build, a loop panel on a pack. The velcro mount matters more on this pocket than on any other in the line, because at 16 in tall it is the one you are most likely to want to move: it will block a window or a door card if it is in the wrong place, and with velcro you find the right place by peeling it off and pressing it back down rather than re-weaving straps.

What to know before you buy
This is the tall, narrow pocket in the line, not a general-purpose one. Anything wider than 4 in will not go in. Velcro backing also needs a loop-velcro surface — it will not stick to a bare seat back or to MOLLE webbing.
Pairs with
- Modular Velcro Seat Organizer — the loop panel this pocket is built to mount on.
- Modular Velcro Mini Cargo Pocket — the deep box pocket for bulky kit on the same panel.
