The Midland MXT105 is the easy on-ramp to GMRS — a compact 5-watt MicroMobile that mounts in minutes and gets your rig on the same channel as the group without a big install. It's the honest pick for a first radio or a second vehicle.
- 5 watts of GMRS power — meaningfully clearer and farther than a bubble-pack FRS handheld, especially with a roof-mounted antenna.
- NOAA weather access so you hear incoming conditions before they find you.
- Includes a magnetic-mount antenna — set it on the roof and you're transmitting, no drilling.
Worth knowing: 5W suits close-in convoys and line-of-sight terrain; if you routinely spread out or run canyons, the 15W MXT275 or the 50W MXT500/575 reach further. Authorized Midland dealer; GMRS license required.
