The EasyCot is Byer of Maine's quick-setup camp cot. Pull it out of the carry bag, unfold it, and the welded steel legs lock into a stand-alone frame with no end bars to fight. It suits base camp, a wall tent, hunting camp or a guest bed at home.
The sleeping surface is 78 by 31 inches of 600 denier polyester with extra fabric reinforcement in the high-wear spots, held 18 inches off the ground so a duffel or boots fit underneath. Byer rates it to 330 lb and lists it for older campers who want a cot that is easy to get on and off.
Steel makes it sturdy but heavy. At 21 lb it rides in the truck, not on your back, and the folded bundle takes up a good chunk of a cargo area. For a lighter low cot, look at the Allagash PLUS in the Byer of Maine lineup, or browse sleep systems.
