The Diode Dynamics SS5 Pro White Spot pods are 5-inch Stage Series lights tuned for distance. A spot optic puts the output into a tight, far-reaching beam, the pattern for spotting turns and obstacles a long way out on open desert roads; Diode says it shines almost a mile.
Custom TIR optics capture the LED output instead of losing it to a reflector, so less light becomes glare. The backlight is selectable in eight colors by cycling power. Each pod has a waterproof Deutsch DT connector with a 6-inch pigtail, and the SS5 can link to other SS5 pods with Diode's CrossLink system to build a bar of up to about 50 inches.
Spot beams leave the near field dark, so many owners pair them with flood or combo pods. More in driving and spot lights.
