The heavy-duty end of the TRED range. The ARB TRED HD is a set of two engineered-nylon recovery boards built for overlanders whose trips demand the best gear. The nylon blend flexes under a fully loaded rig on uneven ground while still holding firm pressure on the tire for maximum traction — the balance of grip and give that gets heavy vehicles out of soft sand, deep mud, and snow.

Why the HD: a directional design with dedicated entry and exit points, TRED-LINK nesting to build a longer recovery surface, and patented SIPE-LOCK grip channels that engage your tire's sipes. Ergonomic handles and a contour ramp double as a shovel to clear debris, and the all-season formulation works from deep cold to desert heat.
Worth knowing: the HD carries a higher weight rating and wider temperature range than the polypropylene GT, at a higher price. For lighter rigs and casual weekend use, the value-focused TRED GT may be all you need.
Part of our recovery gear and full ARB lineup.
