The heavy-duty end of the TRED range. The ARB TRED HD is a set of two engineered-nylon recovery boards built for overlanders whose trips demand the best gear. The nylon blend flexes under a fully loaded rig on uneven ground while still holding firm pressure on the tire for maximum traction — the balance of grip and give that gets heavy vehicles out of soft sand, deep mud, and snow. The Aqua finish stays easy to spot when you toss it down in low light.

Why the HD: a directional design with dedicated entry and exit points, TRED-LINK nesting to build a longer recovery surface, and patented SIPE-LOCK grip channels that engage your tire's sipes. Ergonomic handles and a contour ramp double as a shovel to clear debris, and the all-season formulation works from deep cold to desert heat.
Worth knowing: the HD carries a higher weight rating and wider temperature range than the polypropylene GT, at a higher price. For lighter rigs and casual weekend use, the value-focused TRED GT may be all you need.
Part of our recovery gear and full ARB lineup.
