The Summit step section is the walk-on step of ARB's Summit side protection for the 2011-on Ford Ranger PX and Mazda BT-50 in dual-cab and extra-cab form. It protects the lower sill along the door line and gives a durable steel platform for climbing in or reaching the tray and roof, while cutting stone chips from road debris.
Built from durable steel to match the Summit range, it acts as a strong barrier against rock ledges. The honest caveats: it is protection and access, not a true rock slider for aggressive crawling; and it is a companion component that requires the matching Summit rail (PN 4440150, 4440160 or 4440170), sold separately, to mount. This suits the global PX Ranger / BT-50 platform, not the North American Ranger.
