Old Man Emu suspension is engineered as a system, and the centre bolt is the piece that keeps a leaf pack behaving like one. This bolt and nut clamp the leaves together and locate the pack on the axle, so a re-arched or rebuilt rear end holds its geometry and tracks straight under load.
