ARB's Deluxe Protection Step gives the 1994–1998 Land Rover Discovery Series I an easier way in and a barrier against the stone chips road debris flicks up at the sills. It is a complete, vehicle-specific side step — no separate rail required — with clean, modern styling that suits the classic Disco.
The step sections are extruded alloy steel, topped with non-slip molded urethane pads so wet or muddy boots stay planted. It is an excellent barrier against rock ledges, but be clear on the trade-off: it is a protection step, not a true rock slider rated to carry the vehicle's weight in aggressive crawling. For touring, gravel and everyday access it is exactly right; for hard rock work you want a chassis-mounted slider.
